XE5690SM, Multi-rate Embedded Modem Module Works With XE0092 Telephone Line Interface Module to Secure Apartments and Condominiums. |
DESCRIPTION:
Maintaining secure access in a large residential building requires two varieties of communications. An audio link between the residential unit and front door is needed to permit residents to screen visitors before unlocking the door for them. A data channel is also needed to allow remote programming. A modem permits the pass codes for former residents to be deleted and new residents added remotely.
The primary consideration in the audio link to the front door is the audio signal quality. The resident has to be able to clearly understand the intentions of the person at the door. The modem that provides remote programming access has to be flexible enough to connect with even old, slow modem protocols. Remote access can be originated from a variety of new and old equipment. The modem at the access point must communicate with any of the standard modulation schemes.
Why Cermetek?
The Cermetek XE0092 DAA module provides an clear, inexpensive telephone connection for the audio link to the front door. The solid state construction of the XE0092 results in minimum distortion through out the voice band so all communications are clear. The low cost of the XE0092 and the XE5690SM modem module keeps system costs down. The XE5690SM supports all standard data rates from 300 bps up to communicate with any modem from the last 25 years.
